The Courier-Mail is the daily paper for all of Queensland, and Quest Newspapers (like the Courier-Mail and Fox News, owned by News Corporation) publishes over a dozen local suburban weeklies. Other suburban papers include: Westender, The Independent, The Bayside Star, The Bayside Bulletin/Redland Times, and the Western Echo.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation has a local radio station in Brisbane.
The ABC also broadcasts the Australia-wide stations Radio National (current affairs, arts and issues), ABC Classic-FM, Triple J (alternative-mainstream rock) and NewsRadio into Brisbane.
SBS Radio is a multicultural Australia-wide radio network that broadcasts in Brisbane.
Triple M, Nova and B 105 are major FM rock and pop stations, while other commercial stations include 4KQ (classic hits), 4BH (easy listening), 4BC (news/talk), and 97.3FM (adult contemporary).

There are 5 mainstream TV stations in Brisbane: Channels 7, 9, 10, the ABC, and SBS, but very little of their work is devoted especially to Brisbane.
