I would have won a quiz night once if I’d known this at the time.

Queensland’s RSPCA (the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) has warned people not to give left-over chocolate to pets.

Even 50 grammes of chocolate (less than two ounces) can ‘kill a dog’.

A lady being interviewed on ABC NewsRadio also said that onions are bad for dogs as well - they can give dogs anaemia (dangerously low iron levels).

So there you go. No chocolate for your pets!
