Have a great day!
Have you ever wondered what the real deal was about our water storage dams? Has the possibility of running out of water in the near distant future ever crossed your mind? How much rain is needed to fill up our dams? These questions and more have indeed crossed my mind, so I went out to find out the answers for myself. In the last week I took the liberty of making a trip down to the Wivenhoe Dam to investigate this. Here are my results….
These results are not founded in any way of form from any statistical data or study, but are completely from my own thoughts on the subject from my photography.
The Map Overview
This is a map of all available places for the public to visit the North Pine Dam. All the following pictures have been taken from every single allowable public sector.
McGavin View - West Side
McGavin View - East Side
Bullocky Rest
Forgan Cove
if you take careful note at all the pictures you will be able to analyse where the maximum water level used to be. Signs such as the mould on the water gates and where the plants on the side of the lakeside merge into the long grass.
