Have a great day!
The drought in South-East Queensland (where Brisbane is) means that the Government had to start Level 5 water restrictions yesterday.
You can only water your garden twice a week, you aren’t allowed to wash the outside of your house, or your car, outdoor showers have been turned off at beaches and if you have a pool you can only use rainwater to fill it, or water that you’ve paid to have carted to your house.
When something is scarce, of course it becomes more valuable - which is why 12 000 litres (about
3 200 gallons) of water got stolen from the Fortitude Valley Junior Rugby League Club on Easter Sunday or Monday.
I wonder where you go to sell stolen water? Is a dodgy guy in a trenchcoat involved? Can you swap it for stolen cigarettes or DVD players?
Whatever the answer, if you don’t want your water stolen, remember that it is getting more valuable every single day.

Sabina Says:My contribution to water saving includes not flushing the toilet every time I go… I live by myself… I’m not going to get grossed out! Besides, sensibilities aside, you can save a lot that way. “Let it mellow I tell ya!”
It gets to me though, the fact that the government is only thinking of dams… which only collect water that rains right on top of it, while water runs out to sea.
The government really should have seen this coming and invested ahead of time. This is getting ridiculous!
And by the way, I have no problem drinking recycled water, it’s probably a lot cleaner than rainwater collected from the roof!
