If you haven’t noticed, Home Turf Media is out and someone new is in. That new person would be myself, Chris Vincent. Because of the large work load involved with running HTF the owner finally decided to sell off this website to someone else who had the time and would be willing to continue blogging.
To formally introduce myself, I’m Chris Vincent. I’m a fellow Brisbaneite and blogger. I live on the north side of Brisbane and regularly visit both the inner, outer city and down the south side. I’ve been seeking a project for a long time that would be interesting, informative and something that everyone around me could relate to. Once I saw this website, it came to me as the perfect opportunity.
To start off my career on this blog, I’m going to be revamping this website in quite a few ways. Here’s only a couple of ideas that I have for the future:
So if your like me and excited about our wonderful city of Brisbane, and would also like to see growth within this blog, please feel free to subscribe to our RSS feed through your Microsoft Outlook account. Otherwise, If you would like to help me write articles or help me with photography, please contact me through the contact page.
Have a wonderful day.

Australia v Great Britain international Rugby League Test Match last November at Lang Park.
Welcome to the liveblog! In the spirit of HG Nelson and Rampaging Roy Slaven I’ve set up the ‘card table‘ for the first game of the National Rugby League season, between the Brisbane Broncos and the North Queensland Cowboys, at Brisbane’s Lang Park.
Since I’m nowhere near as funny as HG and Roy, I have to bring my own special flavour to the liveblog. So I’ll be breaking the game down for people who don’t know much about it. Hundreds of thousands of people in the last decade have moved to Queensland from the southern states of Australia where Australian Rules Football is the main game. Like me a few years ago, most of those people don’t have a clue about how League works, and the Channel 9 commentary team do a very bad job of explaining the ins and outs of the game. Sometimes the ball changes hands and you’ll have no idea why. And that’s my job – to let you know what just happened, why it happened, and what effect it will have on the game.
