Recently, I started a group for photos of Fortitude Valley, New Farm, Newstead and Teneriffe at flickr, the photo-sharing website.
I want the group to become the first place people look for photos of that part of town, and that means I’ll have to take a lot of photos to get people noticing it.
So last Friday I went down to New Farm Park and the Powerhouse Arts Centre to take some photos.
You can read more about New Farm Park here.
You can click on that link to see Friday’s photos on a map, to see a slideshow of them, to see different sizes and to download them for yourself. You can also clickon each photo to go to its page on flickr. Or you can just keep reading here to see over 60 photos.

I got to Southbank for the Australia Day celebrations at about 3 pm, and managed to get photos of sheep-pups, Bollywood Dancing, children in Welsh costume, singers, crowds, fireworks and more.
There are over 100 photos and lots of details about the day…all you have to do is keep reading…

This sculpture at Southbank is called “Witness Box”, by Daniel Templeman. It is at the south end of Southbank - if you click on the photo, you will get taken to where it is stored on flickr, and you can see a map of where the sculpture is.
