Everything is all clear… Normal services resumed by ten am after South Brisbane train station was out of action for nearly two hours this morning due to a bomb scare.

Police have arrived and closed the station. QR staff have advised passengers to seek alternative transport. Police advise it will be at least another hour before trains resume service.

South Brisbane train station is temporarily closed due to a suspicious box being found on platform 2. No trains are passing through either way while Queensland Rail staff await police. This incident comes a week after terror suspects were arrested on the Gold Coast.
