Every year I make that promise to myself to do something spectacular for my mum, and every year I end up as I am today… 2 weeks before with no present or ideas of what to do! There is so much to do in Brisbane, we are surrounded by amazing parks, beaches, attractions, restaurants, cafes and yet I sit here contemplating the fact that I can not think of anything to do!

I am sure there are many of you in the same dilemma, I have made a start on a list of places to go in Brisbane that may make mum happy next Sunday!

Things for those with a little to spend:

On the tighter budget:

  • Picnic bbq at Roma Street Parklands
  • BBQ under the amazing trees at Wellington Point
  • Rocklea or Chandler Markets

If anyone out there has any better ideas, please post them up! Living in, as the new ad campaign puts it, ‘this sleepy little town’, I am positive there are many secret places you are willing to share!

Look forward to hearing from all of you.

xoxo

Lauren

Hi Lauren,
One of the best sources for events is http://www.ourbrisbane.com If you don’t want to sift through all their info you can visit my blog. By the way, you are doing a fantastic job, just need to post a little more often.
Other suggestions: Botanical Gardens Mt Coot-tha, Loan Pine Koala sanctuary. And not on exactly on Mother’s Day, On May 9th (2pm-4:30pm) Andre Rieu will be at Queen Street Mall (warning! It will be crowded).
