Brisbane’s Steam Train Sunday: Vid and photos

Every month, there’s a steam train trip in Brisbane, and YouTube user qldmatt made a 2 1/2 minute movieof the journey he made on Sunday, April first:
He also took 17 pictures, which you can see here in the ‘Qld Heritage’ section of his rail photography website.
Click here to see the route of the steam train trip, from Roma St, out past the racecourses at Ascot and Doomben, to the Pinkenba ‘balloon loop’ and back to Roma St.
Normal passenger trains don’t go past the racecourse, so for rail buffs it’s a chance to see parts of the network that you otherwise wouldn’t.
